Importance of Hands

Everyday a man comes to senior citizen’s park and sits for a while on the bench. Then he goes for jogging around the park.Everyday I notice one thing that he is so engrossed with his hands. One day when I sat beside him, he didn’t acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if he was alright.
Finally,though not wanting to disturb him but check on him at the same time,I asked him whether he is in good health.He raised his head and looked at me and smiled.
“Yes , I’m fine ,thank you for your concern”, he said in a clear voice.
Actually,” I did n’t want to disturb you sir,but everyday I notice you and see that you were just staring at your hands and wanted to make sure that you are in good health or not.”
Have you looked at your hands anytime I mean your palm, he asked.I mean really looked at your hands?”
I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned them up and join them together.But could not find the answer.
Then he smiled and said—
Karamuule Tu Govindah
At the Top of the Hand (i.e. Palm) Dwells Devi Lakshmi
At the Base of the Hand Dwells Sri Govinda;

Prays to GOD to help out of Ego, denoting “the open hand shower money (Laxmi) amidst the fingers, may be counting to give equally to others”. Prays that the palm holds books and knowledge to be distributed to who ever likes to share questions. The base of hand has GOD’s help with the strength to bear those successful charitable palm and fingers to make all Happy.
Good gesture to devote at Mediatation and prayers.

Our Hand signifies our Head and Heart. Thoughts (from head,heart,Mind) are Subtle and are fast, fickle & fleeting … so our Hands come handy to stabilize them like an Idol with rituals.

An old song come to my mind,
Nane mune bache tere muthi main kya hai, muthi ma hai takdir hamari.
Thanking God for Good health is a must.
The hands are the most beautiful gift and they are like god to me. Hands and feet are the action takers.
Nice thought.
